Papers sought for The British Journal of Diabetes

New academic research papers are being sought for The British Journal of Diabetes, the authors have announced. 

Developed by the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD), the journal includes peer reviewed scientific research articles, systematic reviews, case reports, protocols, and guidelines.

Additionally, the British Journal of Diabetes showcases latest news and updates from the ABCD and offers advice and guidance on recommend changes to those who are new to publishing their work.

Dr Marie-France Kong, Editor-in-Chief of The British Journal of Diabetes, said: “The journal is growing in reputation and strength, and we hope for a PubMed listing soon.”

Types of manuscripts considered for The British Journal of Diabetes includes:

  • Randomised controlled trials according CONSORT guidelines.
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analysis – Must follow PRISMA reporting Guidance.
  • Case reports – Must follow CARE reporting guidelines.
  • Clinical trials – Must follow ARRIVE guidance.
  • Meta Analyses of observational studies in epidemiology – Must follow MOOSE reporting guidelines.
  • Practice guidelines in healthcare – Must follow the RIGHT Statement reporting guidance.
  • Protocol Items recommendations for interventional trials – Must follow SPIRIT guidance.
  • Qualitative research – must follow SRQR reporting guidance.
  • Observational cohort, case control, cross sectional or combined studies – Must follow STROBE reporting guidance.
  • Standards for quality improvement reporting.
  • Practice guidelines in healthcare – Must follow the RIGHT Statement reporting guidance.

The authors have also recommended that all submissions to The British Journal of Diabetes should follow PUBMED guidelines.
