When is Microsoft’s new Windows 10 Smartphone going to launch?

By Hilbert Hagedoorn on August 13, 2018 07:01:30AM EDT – Microsoft – Windows 10 Mobile — The new Microsoft smartphone, codenamed “N”, will be unveiled at a hardware event in Beijing on August 15, according to industry sources.

The phone will be announced at the event by Microsoft’s Terry Myerson, who is also the company’s senior vice president for the Windows and Devices Group, according a statement from the company.

“The Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL are the flagship smartphones in Microsoft’s lineup, and they’re powered by the company\’s latest and greatest Windows 10 operating system,” the company said in the statement.

“Windows 10 Mobile delivers on that promise, and we’re thrilled to bring this latest and best iteration of Windows to customers.”

The phone comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM, along with 64GB of onboard storage.

It runs on Windows 10, with Microsoft also offering Windows 10 Pro for business and a version for business customers that comes with support for other devices.

Microsoft said the new phone will cost $999 (about £749), but prices will vary based on the phone’s SKU.
