LG Electronics to sell smart phone to U.S. for $1.99/month

Buyers are getting more smartphone options with new LG Electronics, the company announced Wednesday.

The LG G4 smartphone, which is LG’s first smart phone in the U.K., is on sale for $99.99 via the LG website, up from the current $99/year price.

LG will also start selling a LG G5 smartphone with a 16GB storage option in the US starting in September.

LG says it will be offering a version of the G5 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC LE support in the coming months.

The company’s flagship phone, the LG G3, has a price tag of $199/year.

LG is also introducing a new LG G6 smartphone with an upgraded design, which it says will be available in March for $249/year, with a 64GB storage capacity.

The company will also begin selling an LG G7 smartphone in the first quarter of 2019, which has a Snapdragon 840 processor, 2GB RAM and a 16-megapixel rear camera.LG is the world’s fourth-largest smartphone maker, behind Apple, Samsung and HTC.
